Details

Mireia Tarragó and Marc Serra present at the Petit Palau a programme inspired by the universe of Les Nabis, the French Post-Impressionist movement active between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries that played a key role in the transition towards the early avant-gardes. Through art song by composers such as Fauré, Debussy, Satie and Bonis, the concert musically evokes the artistic atmosphere of that period, marked by symbolism, poetry and a new aesthetic sensibility.

The programme also builds bridges with Catalan Modernisme, which developed in the same creative context with figures such as Albéniz and Granados, inviting audiences to discover the connections between music, painting and artistic thought during a time of intense cultural renewal. As part of a collaboration with Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera, images from the exhibition Els Nabis: de Bonnard a Vuillard will be projected during the concert. The exhibition can be seen at La Pedrera from 6 March to 28 June.
